With the advances of modern dentistry a
beautiful healthy smile is within the reach of everyone. It is often said that a
beautiful smile enhances your appearance, boosts your self confidence and
improves your morale.
Cosmetic dentistry includes a number of
procedures, some of which are listed below:

Veneers: A porcelain or acrylic
laminate, prefabricated and bonded to the surface of the teeth. (Shade, shape,
alignment can
also be modified in this manner) .

Bonding: A quick and
economical way to close gaps, cover defects and repair chipped teeth, usually
done chair side, in one session. It consists of treating the affected surface
with a special agent to increase retention then coating it with a bonding
agent. Finally a tooth colored material is placed and shaped to follow the
natural contour of the tooth.

Bleaching:
Or what is known as whitening. There are an abundance of products on the
market these days, from over the counter whitening products to-in office one
hour bleaching such as ZOOM. The quality and efficiency of these products have
improved greatly in the last 10 years and the end results are very good.
My personal preference is a take home product that is applied by the patient
in a custom tray. Although the treatment takes about 2 weeks, the results are
long lasting and the post bleaching sensitivity is easily manageable.
