  Crowns and Bridges

•   Crowns: Commonly known as caps, cover the entire surface of the tooth , they can be made of porcelain, gold, semi precious metal or a combination . The purpose of a crown is to reinforce the tooth usually after root canal therapy or when the structural integrity is compromised by a large filling.

•   Bridges: These are appliances that permanently replace missing teeth. They usually involve capping the adjacent teeth, and thus bridge them together. Bridges help reestablish the balance of a normal bite, restore function and enhance appearance.
